Here's Life -- Act 2

Here is your opportunity to get into the action. In Acts chapter 2 we read of a great spiritual harvest. God gave the disciples the opportunity to share the Gospel with people from "every nation under heaven". Over three thousand people responded to the Gospel that day.

God has now brought people from almost every nation to Sydney. In our city over 140 languages are spoken. More than 25% of our city speaks a language other than English at home. Arabic is Sydney's second most common spoken language. Chinese is our second written language. mosque.jpg (13175 bytes)

is your opportunity to get involved in the multi-cultural spiritual harvest in our city. We desire that everyone in Sydney knows someone who truly follows Jesus. There are many great churches in our city, yet there are still people who are isolated from contact with true followers of Christ.

will show you how to meet these people and share the Gospel with them in the context of a friendship. Many of us have already selected a people group that we are focusing on. We enjoy talking with people who come from a Muslim background. We can help you meet people from one of these groups, or another group of your own choosing.

provides a time for accountability and training. We meet the second Saturday of most months in Auburn from 1 pm to 5 pm The first half of our time is spent in prayer and training. The second half of our time is spent visiting people in the community and then coming back together for an evaluation and prayer time at 4:30 pm. We also have several videos and books to help you become more effective in outreach. ( Want to see our calendar?).

will encourage you to find one or two non-Christian families in an ethnic community that you can contact on a weekly basis (by phone, letter, email, or visit).

will also show you the materials that others have found effective in sharing the Gospel cross-culturally. We often use the JESUS video and bi-lingual Gospel tracts. There are also other tools that are effective with specific people groups.
